The Barbershop Incident

In a bright sunny morning, Chaplin was skipping merrily, wandering throughout the city. Suddenly, he came to a halt when he saw a tiny barbershop around the corner of the street. And then, he got the most exciting idea; he wants to have his moustache cut with the style that only him can possibly have. Charlie waltzed inside the shop, and told the barber to give the most unique cut to the moustache that he could possibly think of. That day, the famous Chaplin ‘stache was born. Overjoyed, Charlie paid the barber a generous amount of money; with a stack of coins for the tip, and decided to go for a walk around the city to show everyone his new moustache.
Later that day, another person came inside the exact barbershop. There came this rigid, uptight man; along with an ear-popping fanfare accompanying his entrance. It was Der Fuhrer Adolf Hitler himself! Excited, and a bit stunned also, the barber welcomed him into his humble abode. Apparently that day was Hitler’s day off, -yes, sometimes the Reich Chancellor himself also needs to maintain his vanity- and he wants to change his moustache style to make a trademark for himself during his rule. He asked the exact same thing Charlie asked to the barber. He wants something unique, that only him can have, as a moustache style, and the barber did give him the most unique style that he can possibly think off.
Amused with his new, dashing appearance, Hitler looked at the mirror to compliment himself. When he wanted to share his happiness with the barber that apparently was approaching the cashier near the window, he saw something so awful and horrid that he immediately changed his mind; he saw two of himself –or rather, another person with the same so called “unique” moustache that he just got! It’s Charlie! Charlie passed the shop, sadly, at the wrong time. This angered Hitler so much that he points his harsh finger to Charlie behind the window. Hitler stared at him, and he stared back at him. The mischievous Chaplin, being his really funny self, points his finger at the same time, mimicking Hitler. Charlie keeps mimicking Hitler for some time, and this drives Hitler crazy; until Charlie realized that it’s actually Hitler, another human being, not a mirror picturing himself.
Annoyed by the fact that someone other than himself has his moustache, Chaplin rushed into the shop and nagged to the angered Hitler. In other hand, Hitler himself was very enraged with the fact that the silly tramp Charlie has the same moustache as himself, the ruler of the notoriously infamous Nazi party. And then after some thinking, he gained composure of himself, and realized that the barber was the one at fault. Realizing this, Hitler approached the barber and punched him right in the face, knocking him unconscious!
With the barber out of the picture, Charlie was a bit shocked, but in time, he grew amused with Hitler’s appearance. He then made a deal with Hitler; Hitler can keep and say that he’s the only one with that kind of moustache from the beginning, and then Hitler agreed and gave mercy to this rather insignificant puny man. Then Charlie hugged Hitler, restating the fact that they are now friends, –at least according to Charlie, when Hitler actually thinks that he’s just another subordinate- but, unbeknownst to Hitler, Charlie grabbed his wallet sneakily and took some pennies from it to pay the poor unconscious barber that Hitler left, without paying a single dime.
At the end of the day, that started with a sunny morning, Charlie and Hitler went out of the barbershop together, almost identical, but in peace, and they part ways that day with Hitler rocketing away with his army of cars and gunned subordinates, leaving the always merry Charlie skipping away for another round of city strolling.
